An unfinished basement turned into a full lower level with a family room, a bar area and finished storage.
The owners wanted somewhere the whole household and a fair number of guests could use at once. That meant planning the wet bar, the seating and the game area together so none of them ended up squeezed.
Plumbing was run for the bar, the lighting was zoned so the space works for both a quiet evening and a full room, and the cabinetry was built in rather than bought in.
